Team Orange!

A Snippet

A typical fall morning. Soccer, and Steve's coffee.

Zoo

Olivia is wearing her best fake smile, trying to mask the panic over what fun thing to do first.

Some people found the bug's movements and sounds creepy.

 Ahk-ah-bee!!!

We had such a good time at the Brookfield Zoo, after hours on a Friday! Thanks Jan for including us!

Evangeline

A tidge uncertain about carrots.

Hand in Hand

If Olivia has soccer practice, Leo is coming with.

And he happily gallops around at the park. I tried to keep him home while Steve took Liv - but the big tears and turned down lip changed my mind.

A Case of the Hungrys

Olivia has been so hungry lately. She has an afternoon snack at school, one when she gets home, and then before bed. While we were going through her wall words for tomorrows test (gasp) she snacked on some oatmeal/flax/chia seed balls with peanut butter and honey. I can not believe she ate them. A true testament to how hungry she is.

Skating Party!

Olivia with Maggie and Saoirse during the annual back to school skating party (complete with DJ). The kids have a blast, the parents sit on the sidelines and cringe the entire time.

Quick Trip

We took a quick trip to the Green City Market. Olivia and I have been going since she was a little baby, and she loves it. Leo too.

We surprised them with a detour to North Ave Beach

 Fist-fulls of sand.

What a great morning downtown! They both loved the beach, and the weather was perfect, not too hot so that they'd be tempted to take a dip.

Night Swimming!

So nice of John and Madonna to lend their pool to our motley crew.

These Two

Real School

First grade is real school, Olivia says. A big opportunity. She's right. Spelling tests and homework. But the good news is, she is really excited about it. I, on the other hand, wish she were still three. Leo set out to ease the pain, with his trademark sweetness.
