Items Necessary for The Aquarium

Olivia was beyond excited to hear we were going to the aquarium. She brought her "spy book" among other equipment.

Sing it Sister

Olivia's favorite pastime is singing karaoke, and even better if it's Lady Gaga, Miley or Madonna.

Poor Peanut

Poor Liv was so sick on Sunday. Steve made this cute little nest for her, she thought it was cozy, we thought it was smart to protect the couch from accidents.

City Gal

Here is Liv, dressed for a day in the city with Auntie Erin and Uncle Scott.

Cuteness

It might be hard to tell, but this is Liv's drawing of me, courtesy of the window markers from Auntie Barb.

The Three Musketeers

Here are some pics of the girls before school. I was worried that with the carpool and time spent together at Durkins, that they would be clique-y - but we had parent teacher conferences this week, and were happy to hear that that's not the case at all. But even with Liv's new school pals, she is quick to list Mia and Sophia as her top choice for a playdate, and has taken to calling them the three musketeers. Adorable.

We've Stooped So Low

Poor Liv is sick with her usual cold/ear infection/cough until she vomits. Fortunately for us, Olivia loves the antibiotic they give her. She'll happily toss it back as if it's a lemon drop on her 21st birthday. But we have epic battles trying to get her to take cough medicine. Last night was no different, with Steve and I begging and pleading. Bribe after bribe, she was not budging. We've tried to use force, but that hasn't had pretty results. I then realized that her antibiotic was the same color as some nail polish I had - so I painted the outside of the syringe with it, with the nasty cough medicine hiding inside. When I walked back into the room Olivia jumped for joy, ran up to me and I shot it into her mouth. The look of disappointment and betrayal was almost - but not quite - too much.

My Baby

What a treat to get Liv's school pictures today. She looks precious! But not 3, by any stretch.

Fall, Please Don't Leaf

Olivia and Steve did some yard work together on Sunday. But when these two get together, it's more hijinks than work (as evidenced by the photos.)
P.S. the Michael Jackson shirt is a gift courtesy of our neighbors Nancy and Kim. Olivia loves it.

Last Night

Olivia had me put a sign on her bedroom door: "No boys allowed." I think she's an 8 yr old stuck in a 3 (or maybe 4) yr old body.

Boy Are We Ever In For It

Last night Olivia asked me if she could get a cat. I told her that cats were bad news and I didn't like them. She looked at me and said "I have the perfect solution. You can move out."

Oh Halloween, We'll Miss You.

Olivia was so excited to wear her outfit. We had planned on nude pantyhose but then opted for warmer tights - such a chilly day!

It was a battle to put her coat on - "Moooom! No one will see my outfit!"

We ran into Sophia! What fun!

Apparently the glasses got in the way of the hot chocolate.

Liv and Ryan, after the shaving cream fight.

Auntie Gena joined us for some tricks and treats.

There's that blonde hair we know and love.

Seriously! What three year old does this?

Liv was the instigator of this. She had a blast.

What a perfect Halloween sky.

Liv and her friend Ellie. As soon as Liv saw her, she realized she "needed" her glasses, too.

Choices, choices.

What a fantastic Halloween we had! Even though it was a bit chilly, we still did a fair amount of trick or treating (with the help of a wagon). Then it was back to our place for a block party - which was a great way to end the day. Although, as I type this, the party is anything but ending. I'd say it was just getting started...

A Lucky Girl Indeed

Grampie sent her an adorable Halloween bouquet with a cute witch. What a treat!

Halloween Party!

Daphne is ready to roll!

The kids loved seeing each other all dressed up.

Girlies, comparing shoes.

Olivia and Nathan have an interesting relationship.

Sophia the witch navigates the discussion. Olivia is accusing Nathan of stealing her Elmo toothbrush, and of going into the girls bathroom.

Daphne was confused and thought the rug was a stage.

The class photo, with Miss Linda and Miss Katie holding Elliot.

Olivia has been obsessed with Halloween parties ever since we started reading "Corduroy's Halloween" a couple of years ago. So there was a lot of excitement around her preschool's Halloween party this Thursday.

Not So Spooky

Freeze dance. Now every time I ask Olivia to do something, she says: "I can't, I'm freezed."

Olivia helped the Three Little Kittens find their mittens.

For the second year in a row, Olivia and I went to McAuley's "Not So Spooky" Haunted House. The girls do a great job of entertaining the kids, "Dorothy" loved every minute of it.
