Tu-tu Cute

Liv treated us to a new dance routine this weekend. It was her gift to us for letting her stay up past 7:30.

Old Things in New Places

Liv used to have a picture of Steve and I on our wedding day in her room. When she saw that picture in her new room, she was thrilled.

What a Helpful Cousin!

Even Esme got in on the move action, providing a good distraction for Liv.

Technical Difficulties

The bad news is that this is the longest we've gone without posting. The good news is that we're back in our house! We moved back this weekend, and are so thrilled with the way it turned out. I'll post before & after pics soon. But does it surprise you that Liv prefers to unpack in her swim suit?

They're Never Too Young

to bring you beer. Or are they?

A New Game?

Olivia loved playing Connect 4 with her cousin Francesca - she even kept her hat and coat on!

Back to the Lip gloss

When Liv fusses in the car one way to calm her down is to give her lip gloss to apply. Most times she is unsuccessful and will look to me for help. This time she got it out - and while the photo doesn't really show it, it was all over her lips and my hand.

Happy Birthdaysss

We're lucky enough to have three February birthdays to celebrate in our family - my Mom (Grammie) on the 15th, Auntie Gena on the 16th and Uncle Mike (Scarsella) on the 18th. Liv looks terrified at the prospect, doesn't she?

One Tough Little Guy

Our friend's son, Ethan (5 yrs), was injured this past week at school when a 400 lb radiator fell from the ceiling and landed on his leg. His femur was broken, and he will be in a body cast (covering 3/4 of his body) for three weeks.

He is so very lucky, and we are so very grateful that he is alright - although it will be a long road to recovery.

Please keep Ethan and his family in your thoughts.

Here is a link to a Fox news story about the accident – on the right click Related Items – Video to see the full story.

One Thing in Common

I'm starting to notice at least one similar trait in Liv and Esme - sweet chubbiness!

The Girlies

Liv and Esme continue to be fascinated with each other (although Liv feigns disinterest when feeling a tad jealous).

Brace Yourself...

For MAJOR cuteness. Here is delicious Esme, at her best.

Yeah, Me!

Liv was super pleased with herself to fashion a seat out of an empty box.

Valentine's Day is Over...

Yet Olivia still loves putting those little hearts everywhere.

She's Inked

Liv + Pen = this. And you should have seen my arm!

I Spy With My Little Eye

Chocolate Cake in the Fridge. I think I'll sample some.
(Note: Cake was made by Auntie Meghan for Auntie Gena's 30th - sorry Auntie Gena!)

Those Eyes!

We've moved from the tub to the sink for baths. Liv loves it, most of the time.

She's Got a Good Eye for Decorating...

Olivia loves these "gel gems" and can be seen carrying them around the house. I asked her to decorate the kitchen, and found them stuck to the dryer. It warmed my heart.

Girls Only

Our cousin Annie hosted us for a tasty ladies lunch. Liv was lucky enough to have the company of two other youngsters - Esme and Annie's cousin Matilda. Matilda is an amazing little girl, who takes Irish dance lessons, has a pet snake named Hamie (sp) and once dressed up as Bobby Jenks for halloween. It was only natural for Oliva to be enthralled.

Don't Talk to Me Until I've Had My Coffee

Ah, a young housewife.

Reading is Fun!

Liv loves to read - her most favorite thing lately is the newspaper. Here she is flipping through one of her Nana's books. I think I even saw Liv pick up Time magazine to read. I think Little Miss and I need to take a trip to the library, don't you?

A Budding Fashonista?

Olivia has decided that she will only wear clothes she is familier with - if it's new - forget it! She'll go kicking and screaming until I can squeeze her back into her favorite pink knit outfit. Here she is, after finally agreeing to put on her new pants (thanks Auntie Gena!) she had to choose the top - pink, natch.

Ah, that's better.

Liv did really well feeding herself some strawberry yogurt tonight. A nice departure from our usual "eat three pieces and throw the rest to the dog" routine.

Cold = 1, Liv = 0

Give it to Her, She'll Eat Anything

Behold the South Side (blue) cheese ball. We did not expect Liv to devour it, much less with goldfish.

Same Ol' Liv

Sick, yes. But too sick to get into Nana's make-up? Apparently not.

The Sniffling Peanut

We've been passing a cold around our house and now Liv has it - poor thing, she just isn't herself. Not much sleeping last night, and virtually no nap today. Thankfully Steve is such a fantastic Dad, he's armed with kleenex, wiping her nose almost by the minute it seems. They've cozied up together to watch a movie, so sweet.
