Memorial Day

Liv, Steve and I went to the Beverly Memorial Day Parade. Liv was so excited - especially when the candy started getting thrown to her. She was adorable - saluting almost every flag she saw.

Too Windy City

We ventured out to Navy Pier today for a ride on the "Seadog." Liv was all about it until the boat picked up speed. It was the wind that did it - poor Liv was terrified. We heard a lot of "Jeez louise" and "oh my god." After the ride, Liv was consoled by a soft pretzel and a tattoo.

Saturday

They look like they have a plan.

Esme...being "cozy"

Mr. Emmett, snoozing away.

Uncle Mike gave both Liv and Esme medals...Esme is inspecting hers. Perhaps wondering what she did to deserve it. No reason, just for being her delicious self.
***
A last minute get together turned out quite well - The Bleskins, Grammie and Uncle Mike came over for dinner. Esme thought she was sleeping over night. "Bye Mommy, Bye Dada."

Summer Nights

On Friday we went out to La Fiesta with Auntie Gena. Liv polished off more than her fair share of guacamole, that's for sure. After dinner we came home and enjoyed the beautiful evening.

She's Busy, You Know

Regardless of how busy Liv's days are at Durkins or her Nana and Papas, we usually manage to find time for fun at the end of the day. Previously limited to indoor art projects, this warm weather is really allowing us to do more outside. Plus, Liv gets to debut her new suit.
Also: Liv has a 4 yr old friend across the street - Mickey Shultz. She really wanted him to join in the sprinkler fun - so Liv yelled across the street: "Mickey!! It's me, Olivia. Want to come play?"

Wet N' Wild

Mickey Mouse Club

It's Not Confirmed...

But I think Liv ate an ant.

Where Oh Where Did My Baby Go

Look at those lips. Still a bit of baby left in them.

Teen stance.

Molly helps Liv with her mitt.

What? Who said you could stand like that, drinking your milkshake as if you were 12?

Ah yes. I see my athletic skills have been passed down to Liv.

Steve and I can't help but comment (almost daily) on how much Olivia has

grown. They went out for an errand and she came back older. She also came back with a pink mitt and Blackhawks hat. Per her request.

Jello for My Lady

Liv loves Jello, so I tried to make some jello jigglers. Our impatience got the best of us, and we had 1 star and a mound of mush. But that's ok. It all tastes the same.

Enjoying The Day On Her Front Porch

It may as well be the front porch on her first apartment in the city, by the looks of her.

Big Sis

I was lucky enough to spend some time with Esme and Emmett the other day. Man-oh-man, are they delicious. Esme loves her baby brother so much. She also loves her Uncle "Schteve" who she asked for maybe 10 times every hour.
