Princess Olivia

Princess crowns for the girlies. A hot glue gun can do wonders.

Waiting for her friends to arrive.

Decorate your own princess wand. And boy, did they ever.

The perfect cake for the occasion (even if she was a bit "off" looking)

Olivia's first guest, Esme, arrives.

A bevy of beauties...

Raise your hand if you're a princess!

Pin the crown on the princess.

Pizza, strawberries and pink lemonade.

Ms. Trish, the face painter.

Gorgeous!

Delicious!

The finished wands.

Olivia was waiting for Esme to take Pickles out and give her "a kiss, a real kiss."

What a perfect day for Olivia's princess party. Olivia kept on saying "I'm such a lucky girl". Lucky to have such good friends - who were all so cute and sweet. But I'd have to argue that Steve and I are the lucky ones.

Just Another Sunday

Right after I took this picture it went from bad to worse, with the entire well filling up and the water rushing in. A joke.

It is a really bad feeling to see water rushing into your house and not be able to do much about it. Fortunately, we were in the basement when this happened and were able to pull most everything up. Heavy rains, some issues with our addition and a taxed sewer system were literally the perfect storm. Thankfully Steve and Mr. Scarsella were on hand to do the heavy work. It would be nice to see a few weeks of dry forecasts...

Father's Day, Part Two

After DG we headed to Nana and Papa's for a BBQ. Liv tried her hand at some sparklers, had lots of giggles with Grace, and was delighted in Elwood's appearance. Plus, look at how adorable the chocolate covered strawberries are that Meghan made! So delicious, too!

Sort of Successful

A reluctant Olivia + a wandering Babe weren't the best ingredients for our desired shot, but we got some cute ones.

Much too big for the swing...

We spent the first part of Father's Day at Grammie and Grampie's, and we were lucky enough to get a quick swim in at the OB Pool. Then it was all fun and games outside for Olivia and Esme.

A Perfect Saturday

Our sun-bathing beauty.

Little Miss wrote her name in the sand.

Olivia was so distracted she could barely look at the camera.

I see London I see France...

What a gorgeous Saturday! Olivia, Gena and I went to the pool for a bit, where Liv held her nose and touched the bottom (more than a few times!). Then Steve, Liv and I went downtown for a Fathers Day dinner. We had planned to walk along the lakefront afterwards, but traffic was a nightmare - natch. After an hour stuck on Michigan Ave, we finally found parking and hit the beach for a few minutes. A very weepy Liv was transformed into a delightful girlie who marveled at the water, sand and tall buildings. Traffic aside, I love our city.
