How is It

That a newborn can be so yougn and also look so...old? As in, wow his expression is like a 24 yr old, not "they grow up so fast" old.

Smiles in His Cheeks

I used to tell Olivia that she had smiles in her cheeks, or, "waiting in the wings" - Leo is 6 weeks today, and right on schedule they make their debut. Their delicious debut, I might add.

Lucky Lions

Leo received a sweet Lion toy from Aunt Erin and Uncle Scott. He loves the softness.

Resemblances

Leo looks a lot like Steve's side - but I have been noticing a touch of my brother Mike...maybe it's because his hair looks red-ish in this pic?

Baby Shower!

What's a shower without a little DIY poms?

Fudge from one of our favorite Minocqua establishments for the guests.

College girlfriends, and a girlfriend who acts like she is in college.

Little lady snuck off to Grammie and Grampa's bed for some cartoons.

Sweets, sweets and sweets

Once again - I find little miss in a decidedly non-shower scenario. Who facebooks during a shower?

Look at how clear Emmett's eyes are, you can almost see the sky in them.

The girlies got a bit over-zealous with the mulch, so they were given brooms.

They swept...

And swept...

Emmett is reunited with Leo, where he wastes no time showing his affection.

Ta-da! The night ends with a dance party - what a wonderful day! We are so excited to meet Baby. October will be here before you know it!

Bee Season

Those dreaded bees cut our visit to the park short!

Mr. & Mrs. Bitty Baby

Olivia got down on the floor to spend some time with Leo and "his wife."

Moon Dough

More like a moon don't.

MSI Chicago

Nana, Papa and Auntie Gena took Olivia to the Museum of Science and Industry the other day, and sweet Liv came home with a toy train for Leo. She placed it on him this morning and waited to see (in vain) if he would play with it.

Thankful For

Peaceful mornings...

The Jury is Still Out

Leo looks different in every picture. We can't figure out who exactly he looks like (although he does resemble Olivia quite a bit). As Grandma Urs would say, "he looks like himself" and Auntie Barb just told me last week: "Leo is as cute as he wants to be."

Favorite Outfit

Not so fitting for those 90 degree days, but perfect for fall.

Mr Leo

Lucky Leo received this sweet lovey today from our friends Pat and Nicole (and Seamus and Nicolas!). Olivia has a pink bunny one that they had gotten her when she was a babe - it goes where she goes - I'm sure Leo will have the same feelings towards his! Thanks guys!

Making Aunties Proud

Olivia asked to hold Leo to show Auntie Aimee what a good big sis she is - there's no doubt about that!

Hot Hot Hot

A frenzied dance party to "Hot Hot Hot" left the girls the exact same way.

Zombies

The girls painted their faces to resemble zombies...not sure they got the look they were going for.

Men

Emmett was so fascinated by Leo - so much so, that he said his first word: "baby!" Adorable!

Esme's Turn!

Although, there wasn't any zooming, Esme's a bit too short for the cape.

Faster Than A...Speeding Bullet?

Supergirl Olivia zooms by, so quickly you can hardly tell it's her.

Clever

Olivia has been calling herself "just a Mom" and here is an example of that "mom" behavior, breastfeeding her doll with a travel pillow fashioned as a boppy.

Tummy Time

A brief stint of tummy time turned into some fun for Olivia and Leo.
