Thankful

With each Thanksgiving comes a multitude of things to be thankful for. I am thankful for my wonderful Husband and family who pitched in so that I could still host while under the weather. I am thankful that my Dad is on a good road to recovery from his hip surgery. I am thankful for my beautiful Olivia, who could barely contain her Thanksgiving excitement. I am thankful for family members who washed all of the dishes by hand, and did so in good humor. I am thankful for my butterball niece, Esme, who will be a big sister in May. I am thankful for a talented sister-in-law who came bearing delicious parfaits- cranberry gelatin, buttermilk panna cotta and cinnamon shortbread. I am thankful that my sister Erin and husband Scott will be here for Christmas, we missed them.

If Looks Could Kill

I'd be dead, for the crime of interrupting the beloved "Princess and the Pea."

No Fun to Be Had Here

Rolling around in the leaves proved more itchy and irksome than fun to Liv.

Grammie and Grandpa's House

We paid a visit to Grandpa today, who is healing from a hip replacement surgery. While the girls were more focused on each other, I still think their presence was a good thing. Little girlies laughing can make anyone feel better!

Not So Magnificent Lights Festival

Liv and Molly, future babysitter.

Instead of a Cheezborger Liv should ask for a comb.

We went down to the lights festival on Michigan Ave (along with a thousand other people). It was terribly crowded, but things started looking up when we ran into our neighbors the Welsh's. And when Liv saw Mickey Mouse, it was all worth it. She told Micky: "I love you" and "see you soon". We finished the night with burgers at Billy Goat - a great end to a long night.

From Liv's Vantage Point

Liv would take a self portrait, look at it and say "so tute (cute)"

Saturday in the City

Hopefully this isn't practice for future arrests.
Quinlan - what a cutie! Liv was the object of his unrequited love.
Adorable Vincent Xavier - almost 3 months old. He is all Cronin!
We went to Erin's on Saturday to celebrate her birthday. It was a perfect evening of good food, family and sweet babies. What could be better?

Saturday Safari

Liv and I went to a "Saturday Safari" at the local jungle gym. Liv was 1 of 2 kids there, so we had the run of the place. When faced with the choice of fun gymnastics with playing house, the microwave won.

Practice Makes Perfect

Liv has the evil eye down to a science.

Snacktime = Bathtime

After a snack of markers and chocolate pudding, Liv had to have good scrub down.

E + O

We got together over the weekend, and I'm happy to report that Esme and Olivia are getting along much better. In fact, the tables are turned and Liv is obsessed with "May."

Never in a Million Years

Liv told me she wanted a kitty. "Pease, Mommy?" I asked her what she would do with the kitty - "hold it". Where would the kitty sleep? "on a pillow." When I asked her what she would feed the kitty, without missing a beat, she responded: "my boobies."

The Fish Has a Name

This morning Liv was calling me from her crib, so I went in to get her. She was jumping up and down pointing at the fish (on her dresser) "Nemo's up! Nemo's uuuup!" And then, with a chuckle, "silly fish."

Halloween is Long Gone...but Bones Isn't

Steve and I are strategically planning our removal tactics. Kidnapping? A less terrifying replacement? Something has to be done.

And So It Began: The Embellishing

On the phone with Aunt Aimee, Liv excitedly told her about her "scary" run in with two big black "wolfies" at the park. As you can (barely) see from this pic, clearly this was not the case.

She Was Determined to Have Fun

And she sure did.

Halloween, Now What?

Erin, Liv and Mickey

Without the black hair, Liv still needed a scare factor - hence bones.

These three buddies played well into the night together.
