This is...shocking

Are these the same people?? Where did that baby go? And, who is that guy holding her?

Seven years later.

Bea's Birthday

 This is Bea's "Birthday face"

This is Cordelia's "not a fan of the flash" face

The doctors took a break to eat.

I have been longing for a pic of these three, the youngest.

This pic might be telling of Leo's subsequent candle-blowing out attempts. Sorry, Bea!

Pumpkins

Leo was a tad scared of the duck.

 But he loved the bunnies.

The chickens were gross. Leo did not think so, and happily agreed to hold one.

 So gentle with the calf.

Monica loved to toss the corn

Girls in the front, dreamboat in the back.

And there he is, the Leo we all know and love.

 Maddie was very affectionate.

Leo was angling to get in some sort of fall photo shoot.

 N & P with the grandkids

Jr Cheerleaders!

Olivia was so, so excited to cheer, having missed last year.

Wha?? Where did the spirit fingers come from?

The girls had a blast. Even Leo enjoyed himself, and it's hard not to when hot dogs and marching bands are involved.

This One

Oh Leo. What a handful. But there is this surprising sweet and loving side that I just can't get enough of. He loves to be cozy under blankets. There have been a lot of unsolicited "I love you mamma's" and to Steve: "you're my best buddy." When we are in the car he comments on nearly every house: "look at that fancy home. Ooh, look at that sweet (fweet) home." Then, under his breath he whispers: gorgeous. I love this picture, looking at his large (since birth) hands, his soft hair, his closed eyes taking a sip of the hot chocolate that was promised to him after his ENT appointment. "This ear is happy, this ear is sad"
Later that night, Steve reprimanded him for something and Leo looked down and said "you hurted my hearts, Dad."

Cheesecake

After discovering Olivia's love for cheesecake, I tried my hand at making Grandma Ev's recipe. I have to say it turned out pretty good.

Maeve turns 1

After sneaking into the basement to play with Chauncey, and drawing on a wall, I couldn't find Leo. "I'm here Mom. Just playing with Iggy's awesome toys"

Frustrating that my camera was acting up! Maeve was the most delighted 1 yr old I've ever seen.

She really, really loved her birthday. It was adorable.
