Steve and I took Liv to the "Princess and the Pea" play put on by Chicago Kids Theater Company. Olivia reads Princess and the Pea at least once a day - the book is dog-eared and memorized. So she was beyond excited to meet the characters in real life. The icing on the cake was when they played "single ladies" as part of the play. Olivia was amazed!

Sweet Girl
I was reading books to Olivia before she went to bed tonight, when she leaned in close and said: "Mommy, I falling in love with you."
What Fun!

Liv Tidbits
First, my apologies for lack of posting. I promise more pictures and more often. Secondly, I wanted to share some of Liv's recent comments:
The other day, Liv heard someone on TV say "fiancee" - she turned to me, all excited and said "Beyonce!"
We had a rug delivered today, and it is fairly heavy, and packaged in plastic with a lot of tape. Liv ran up to it and said "ooooh, thank you so much!" and then proceeded to try to rip off the packaging. She told me she had nice muscles and she could help me. After her nap, though, she told me her nice muscles just couldn't do it anymore.

Blizzard Lizard
We had the news on Monday evening, and it seemed every few minutes there was a mention of the "blizzard": blizzard watch 2009, blizzard update, Chicago's worst blizzards. And with every mention of "blizzard" Olivia heard "lizard". She'd clutch at her chest and run to us wide-eyed. Liv went to bed easily, though. I can only imagine what was going on in her active imagination.

Single Wady
Like Esme and Ellie, Olivia loves Beyonce's Single Ladies. Who doesn't? She's always singing about the "single wadies"; although I don't know many ladies who pick their noses. But that's a conversation for a different day. Note: Liv requests "some boys" which is actually Madonna's Material Girl. But, according to Liv, Madonna doesn't sing it, her Aunt Aimee does.
What a Nightmare
Liv woke up this morning saying how scared she was. The source of fright is her most recent favorite book, Miss Nelson is Missing. For those of you unfamiliar, Miss Nelson is a sweet teacher with an unruly class. She dresses up as the mean Viola Swamp to set her class straight. It was a book we read when we were little. I got Liv out of her crib, and she said this: "I closed my eyes, and suddenly Miss Nelson in my room!" While I hate that Liv is scared, perhaps this Miss Nelson will mix things up, I think we've all heard enough of the "wolfies."
