Bratz, or Zombie?

 

Halloweenie

You might be thinking: "cute lion - and is Olivia a Bratz doll?" But not quite. She went as a zombie - specifically a zombie from MJ's Thriller. She loves the video, and has always had her eye on the "girl in the blue dress." However, once the belt was added to the dress, things got shorter, her hair seemed longer, and what looked like scary makeup in the bathroom just looked like makeup ill-applied with a heavy hand once we were outside. But Olivia was none the wiser to her similarity to those dreadful dolls, and it was a successful Halloween. Leo even enjoyed himself, snoozing the afternoon away. And we got a good laugh when someone mistook him for being a bit older and tried to give me a sucker for him.

Wow, what a cute group of 4 yr olds! Poor Olivia, I don't know where my head was this morning - I forgot her fairy wings at home, and she refused to wear her pink wig. Olivia was so cute about it, and when the kids asked "what are you supposed to be?" she answered: "a pink fairy, silly!" They even sang "take me out to the graveyard" for the parents. Adorable.

I've really tried to take a hands off approach to Liv's outfits, and figure that I'll intervene when the clothes aren't weather-appropriate. Until then, she seems to be a little Patricia Field in the making.

I spent some time Saturday morning with the delectable Beatrix. She is a peach - great eater, sleeper, and overall sweetheart. While I was there she was turning to hear her Mom's voice - adorable!

Oh Baby! (or maybe I should say WHOA baby). Beatrix Fallyn Pearson made her splendid debut at 2:52 pm on Thursday October 21st. Weighing in at 10.8 lbs and measuring 22 inches, she is a complete delight.
